Adrenaline quotient …..ooohhh now let me see….
About 100% I’d say. Tomorrow they are going to learn about percentages!
It’s been pounding down with rain and outdoor learning continues. I’ve spent hours standing in the middle of a field while our grown up year 6 children take their younger counterparts orienteering. The tiny ones just have to find their colours, the small ones have to gather letters from the tags to make a word and the bigger ones have to solve clues to get letters to make their words. It’s been pounding down (as you can see from this photo taken from inside the staffroom at lunchtime) and it’s been freezing but I have grinned my way through the afternoon with as much dignity as the situation allowed, given the wellies and waterproofs. Troops of children have been running hither and thither in a massive, chaotic, happy throng. It’s been BRILLIANT.
I’m not sure if I have ever been so happy or so fulfilled. I know my bubble will be burst and I know that every day won’t continue to be such unmitigated joy but for now I’m going to revel in my good fortune!
