This lovely candle holder was a gift from my parents several years ago but since then it’s languished in the shed in its box because we had nowhere to put it. Isn’t it lovely? It has seen the light of day this week, finding its way into a very special place, where the space it occupies and it are simply “right” together.

I want to sit beside it, eating supper and drinking a bottle of wine but sadly that’s unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future. It, along with half of the rest of our world, is displaced at the moment and we are in chaos.

Still, on a day in the future, when things are less chaotic and have been returned to their rightful place, we will get to sit by it and quaff…that day can’t come soon enough for me!
