Today we went to see Spurs v Liverpool - traditionally a fixture where we do really well, not so today - we lost 3-2. In fact, this fixture three seasons ago was a day I'll never forget....we were winning 2-1 and I was watching at home on the sofa, waiting for a call from David to confirm our first date! He called five minutes before the end (not being a footie fan he didn't realise the importance of the game) and I was really torn between wanting to impress him and us (Spurs) hanging on by our fingertips to our 2-1 lead. Nevertheless that day we won and our relationship started on a happy note! Today David visited White Hart Lane for the fourth time (always to see Scouse teams - Tranmere, Everton twice and now Liverpool) and saw us lose for the first time. He'll get used to it, just like the rest of us! We had a fine day out though - now he knows the joys of the Bell & Hare in Tottenham High Road - he's not visited the ground since the Railway Tavern closed its doors for the final time. There was a sale at the Spurs Shop so he's now the proud owner of a Spurs hooded top - Tony, I'm on my way to converting him to the Spurs - you'll never make him an Arsenal fan now.....
