Euromast - the tallest structure in Rotterdam. It was constructed in 1960 and originally was 101 meters high. However in 1970 it was extended again and now is 185 meters high.
According to www.euromast.nl the elevator inside travels at a speed 4 meters/second and elevator ride to the observation level takes about 30 seconds.
However, some visitors don't need the elevator (or even stairs) to go down. Good strong rope is enough :-)
