Here, there is also another photographer who comes to my mind: Martin Parr. Maybe it is a British thing, but more likely it is this high concentration of elderly people, well protected by these (in)elegant hats.
The angle suggests a shaky ride, and the bench is quite horizontal and the horizon seems to have a serious tilt.
