QingShuiYan 清水岩

Built in the Song Dynasty, the beautiful Qingshuiyan (清水岩) temple is nestled in the Penglai mountain of Anxi County, Fujian. On a rainy and misty day, it brings to life the famous poem - 南朝四百八十寺,多少楼台烟雨中. Loosely translated to mean that of all the temples in that era (preceding the Tang Dynasty and when Buddhism was popular), how many are shrouded in rain and mist.
