Hi Meemee - Yes, you definitely have these guys in Texas. You also get the Yellow Crowned Night Heron which is very similar to the black crowned. Thanks for taking a look and commenting :)

I had never seen the night egret. My loss, needless to say. This is a beautiful, exquisite bird. Are there any in Texas? I hope to see more. Thanks
