I didn't pick the best year to visit Glacier. They had just reopened Going to the Sun Road which had been closed due to the Reynolds fire. The smoke from that fire was restricted to the eastern side of the continental divide -- which was unfortunate-- because that is where the hiking and picture opportunities are best.

But the day I arrived, a new fire started on the western side of the divide and by the end of the week, the western side of the park was very smokey. The smoke hadn't gotten bad yet when I took this photo.
