Oqaatsut (Rodebay) is home to about 30 people and used to be an Inuit settlement, a whaling station and a trading post. You can visit the settlement by boat from Illulisat or if you are a hiker it is possible to actually hike the 23km back to Ilulissat from here Ilulissat Icefjord
