What a spectacular shot! Before I looked at it I kept going back and forth to the other one you took on the same day. I liked it but upon moving to this one I can say that you can't really compare them. It's not only about the more vivid color, to me it's actually more about the composition. By moving your human subject to the right side of the frame you achieved the effect of them admiring the same view you were seeing, which reinforces the beauty of the scenery. And the other picture doesn't seem to convey the same because of them sitting in the center.
