It is virtually impossible to identify an insect by description only. If you have an image, I would be happy to attempt to provide an identification. Thanks for your interest

I have what looks to be a bee-fly, that pollenats my flowers. It is all has does not have a round abdomen, more like flat, has a long white tongue. Only 2 wings, and starting at its head it went from,Dark yellow, to yellow, to black then yellow back to black. The color followed all the way around its body. When it flew it made a loud fluttering sound. I have researched and tryed to find this particular one but I can't could it be a new species?

I found a small fly in my bathroom and I don't know what it is. It has a large round yellow abdomen, blackish grey stipes on on the top, and all yellow on the bottom. It's wings are mostly transparent. Does anyone know what kind of fly it may be?
