I just had my first encounter with this beautiful insect! The noise was tremendous. The tussle was happening in a tree above me then out of blue these two insects fell from the sky. The Cicada Killer then made off with the Cicada in the air, sadly a truck came driving past at that very moment and nailed both of them off his windshield...I was disappointed to see them both dead laying on the side of the road! but hey it got me in on the computer doing research so I guess he didn't die in vien.

My 11 year old son is a bug expert ever since he was little. When he came to me the other day he said he saw a huge bee, bigger then a humming bird. At first I thought he might have seen somthing that looked like a bee but was somthing else. He was very insitent that it was a bee. The next day he caught one. I couldnt believe the size of it. SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
