Sceloporus undulatus undulatus
Mature Male
Sometimes called Fence Swift
Kreher Preserve and Nature Center
Mote bright blue patch just above front leg. Mature males often have brilliant patches of metallic blue along the undersides of their bellies and throats.
The dark wavy patterns closely mimic the fissures found in the bark of oaks providing them excellent camouflage.
