Perhaps the "Evening Bat" Nycticeius humeralis
Found on the ceiling of a third floor room in our church in Opelika, AL.
No windows were open in the room so apparently the bat flew in through an
open door at some point.
We carefully relocated the bat outside to a tree near the church.
