These galleries chronicle our roadtrip to Alaska in May of 2006. Our journey originated in Calgary, AB and ended there three plus weeks later.
Our route to Alaska took us to Edmonton AB, Dawson Creek and Fort Nelson BC and to Watson Lake, Yukon Territories where we entered the Alaska highway.
From there we drove to Dawson City YT, over the Top of the World Highway and on to Chicken, Tok, and Fairbanks, Alaska.
From there we drove the George Parks Highway to Denali National Park and on to Anchorage, AK and ultimately, Seward, AK.
From Seward we drove the Glenn and Tok highways to Tok and on to Haines Junction YT and ultimately down to Skagway.
We again joined the Alaska highway at Whitehorse and drove the Cassiar highway through the Cassiar Mountains to the Stewart BC/Hyder AK area.
Our next destination was Prince George BC. We ended our journey by driving through the Canadian Rockies with stops at Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff, AB.
The video below depicts the various scenes we experienced and the wildlife we encountered.
