Harmonia axyridis
The small rod-like objects near the rear of the wing covers and posterior legs
is a fungal parasite in the order(Laboulbeniales).
According to Danny Haelewaters, Harvard University, the species probably is Hesperomyces virescens,
one of the few taxa within the order penetrating the integument of their hosts with a haustorium. Haustoria actively make contact with the haemocoel and draw nutrients from it.
