Great and Lesser Black-backed Gulls

Larus marinus (Great) and Larus fuscus (Lesser)
The Great is the largest gull in the United States.
Primarily a bird of the Atlantic Coast,
it is seldom seen inland except around the Great Lakes.

The Lesser is smaller in size and is distinguished from the Great by long slender wings
yellow legs, lighter gray backs with black primaries.
