Cattle Egret Rookery




This gallery features a remarkable Cattle Egret Rookery in South Central Alabama.
The River Regions Bird Club in Montgomery, AL sponsored this trip to the site which is on private property.
It is estimated that between 3000 and 6,000 birds frequent this site.
Species observed were Cattle Egrets, White Ibis, Green Herons, Blue Herons, and Great Blue Herons.
