We stumbled onto the Garden of Luxemborg on our first day in Paris. We intended to take a shortcut through it on our way to the catacombes as part of our 12-mile walk on day 1. What we found was a fabulous garden full of lined trees and colorful floweres, but most surprising were the presense of several palm trees. In the center is a giant water fountain where several people were operating model remote-controlled boats.
