The Watchman's House
This house is found at the highest point in the city above the agricultural sector. Entrance to the city was controlled from here as well as overseeing the agricultural zone.
From this position you can see over the entire city and the entrance leading from the Inca trail. This three-walled building has three large windows in the central wall which facilitate surveillance of the entrance to the city from the Inca trail. Its drawbridge was the only route to contact with the outside world.
From here you can also see how the Incas roofed their houses using a system of cross beams to support the thatch roof above.
