Passage Falls is also in the Paradise Valley area. The hiking book(s) categorized this as an "easy" hike; we voted it should be more of a "moderate" hike, since several areas were steep (especially just before getting to the Passage Falls, where it was so steep that Cassie chose to wait for us and not go down the steep switch-backs to see them, so she only saw them through our pictures.) There was also a creek crossing that would be hard-pressed for a family with young children to get across. Sadly, the whole forest had been burned sometime in the past, so the landscaping wasn't very pretty with mostly burned-out tree trunks. I mistakenly confused the length of this trail with another one we kept talking about going on. The other one was 1.2 miles so we set out on this one thinking it was that short (& easy). It didn't seem "easy" and when we came to a marker, saying we'd gone 1.6 miles and another .9 to the falls, we debated continuing. So in all, THIS hike ended up being 2.5 miles, each way so a 5.0 mile hike instead of a 2.4 mile one.
