See the black tar lines on the asphalt road? During my 2 mile return walk, I walked barefoot and tried to walk on the tar, which was softer on my feet, as much as possible. Of course that just meant that the bottoms of my feet were black when I got back but it gave me some ease during my painful walking. The other thing that eased my pain was the continual beauty all around me and the perfect weather that afternoon!
