These next photos show the awesome Fall colors that I saw there. I live in central Texas and we don't see too many Fall colors. I decided to take a (short) walk to take pictures of the beautiful Fall scenery, but kept going further and further. I ended up walking 4 miles round trip, making the return walk barefoot because the shoes I happened to wear were brand new and rubbed terrible blisters on my feet. After walking barefoot on asphalt for the 2 miles return trip I then had blisters over most of the bottoms of my feet that kept me limping for days afterwards. It was my own fault for not wearing the proper shoes/socks but I couldn't believe how gorgeous the day and weather was!!! The pictures were worth my pain and I'm choosing to only remember the beauty I saw out that day. (Other than my one 1/2-day for grocery shopping & garage sale shopping, I stayed indoors the entire week, only seeing it daily from my balcony & window views.)
