FINALLY, our 2 nights and 1 day of sightseeing in the D.C. area is over and we start heading West, back towards our homeland of Texas. These 3 spires are of a church but we don't know the name of it. A fellow Pbase'r informed me that it is "the Washington D.C. Mormon Temple, the tallest of all the temples with the east spire reaching 280 feet. It is modeled after the Salt Lake Temple with three spires representing the three members of the Godhead. The 3 on the west side represent the Aaronic Priesthood and the taller ones on the East represent the Melchezidek Priesthood."
