A close-up of his name block. I crocheted a double layer for the white background and then stitched the letters just thru the top layer, so that the back of the blanket just has an all-white center block. Hard to tell but just the white center square (double-sided) was over 3,000 stitches and took almost as long to crochet just that square as the rest of the entire blanket did alone!
