This is all we took to go on a 12-day trip: 2 carry-on's, 2 backpacks, my heavy coat and our white binder that was a hardcopy for everything we were going to see/do/stay, etc. On our return flight we managed to fit not only my jacket and binder in a backpack but also the additional 7 t-shirts, a coffee mug and 2 magnet souvenirs we'd bought.
