Stopping at a railroad crossing to let a touring train pass. When originally planning this trip, we had considered flying in to Anchorage, taking this train to Denali, then taking a tour bus for the return trip to Anchorage. However, the cabins I found up around Denali had no transportation available to get from Denali Park to/from the cabins, not to mention doing the trip by train/bus we would only see Denali and Anchorage. I'm SO glad I changed to the way we did it, having a rental car and seeing a lot MORE of Alaska!
