As we drove along, we noticed up ahead several cars stopped on either side of the road with people getting out with their camera. We knew that meant something was picture-worthy so we stopped, too. It was this herd of elk in the river. We took quite a few pictures (& a few short videos). They were the only elk I saw during my week in Washington.
