A street panhandler that "got" Dave. As we were walking up to the levee's rise, this man approached Dave and said "would you give me $10 if I could tell you exactly where you got your shoes?" Dave thought about it and finally agreed. The man proceeds to bend down and started putting a 1-minute shine on Dave's shoes, rapping a poem that imparted great wisdoms to contemplate. When he was done he told Dave where he got his shoes: "on the bottom of your feet". He then asked for $20; $10 for the shoe shine and $10 for answering the question correctly. The guy walked off $20 richer and Dave and I a little bit smarter.
