Standing in Rancho Cuyamaca State Park's parking lot across the street from the beginning of the trail that climbed up this peak. The trail takes 2 miles to get from trail head to top, most of which is easy-walking without much elevation feel to it until the last 5-10 minutes. In all, the hiker goes up about 1,800 foot in height to get to the top.
