The Long Lenses for Marj
June 6

Well, these are the two long lenses that Marj requested pictures of. They are what we shot the
Bighorn Sheep with yesterday. Lawn used the tripod for his....he has hand held the 300-800mm
successfully, but it's tough and it's always better to set up the tripod when there is time. I was
shooting the 500mm without a tripod but it's much lighter to handle.

You can order the ballhead with, or without, the quick release like we have. You will have to order the proper size plate to mount your camera or lense, seperate. You can check them out at B&H Photo -http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ or Really Right Stuff -http://www.reallyrightstuff.com/. We love the ball heads, although for moving wildlife Lawn wouldn't give up the gimble head he has on the longer lense. Also, if you are going to purchase one, it's worth the extra money to order the one with the rubber knobs.

Hello,
I notice that you have the arcatech ultimate ballhead on the camera to the right. How do you have the lens connected to it? WIll I have to get a special plate and a special plate for the lens?
