Yep, back to the Heronry today for a couple of hours before sunset. This particular
nester wouldn't stay away very long and finally, after watching the nest close we
found out why. There is at least one and probably 2 hatchlings in the nest. Unfortunately
the angle is too great to catch a shot of them yet, but we did get to watch her feeding
them...of course all we could see were their wingtips when they moved around, but that
is a neat experience in itself. Going back for more tomorrow, you can bet.
