Another spot meter experiment. I metered off his side, and used -1 exposure compensation to put his
feathers a little below medium gray. The birds at Swan Lake were very friendly and didn't mind
getting their pictures taken.

I think owning the 50mm f/1.4 and the 24mm f/2.8, although they both meter on the D200, has opened your eyes to light! I bought an FM and an FT-2 today, both black. Spot metering works so much better than matrix metering! If I could, I'd go to Africa to photograph wildlife. But maybe we end up close to the Louisiana swamps, which would not be bad!
