Cavalry Tabernacle

This old church's days are numbered. The middle school behind it, Clinton Middle School, is scheduled
to be replaced in the next year, and the new building will be built where this church, and several
other older buildings sit. The pastor of this church fought annexation for as long as she could, but
the city bought the property from her last year. Clinton was originally built in 1925 as a high
school. My grandmother went there, and I went there in the late 1970's when it was a Junior High
School.

The church has demolition markings on the side, and I saw bulldozers on my way home from work today,
so I thought I had better get a few shots before it was gone.
