They don't call me LatinBob for nothing!
I was looking through my Latin books for inspiration for a class I am teaching this summer, Latin
Terminology, and I came across this book, The Relation of Latin To Practical Life by Francis Ellis
Sabin, A.M., published in 1914. A lot of what Prof. Sabin says is still pertinent today. Latin
is the basis for a lot of English words, and is used widely in medical and legal terminology. It
is also the foundation for most of the modern European languages.
