Key players in the Yuma endurance flight of 1949, from left to right are:
George Murdock, owner of the original refueling car and the current car.
Woody Jongeward, one of the pilots that flew and broke the world record.
Horace Griffen, who owned Griffen Buick at the time of the flight. Horace was set
to be one of the original pilots but had to back out. He drove the refueling car
during the morning flights. Later in the day, he and George traded cars so George
had something to drive.
