LESSER YELLOWLEGS (Tringa flavipes)

Myakka River State Park - Sarasota, FL.

This species utilizes coastal and interior wetlands, where they feed, often submerged to their bellies. Bill length is one field mark to differentiate them from the similar Greater Yellowlegs.
