This was KSG's last day, and he spent it largely with us, especially because we sent the kids to Silver Dollar City in my car, as we'd promised we'd do at some point on this trip. (We also were going to send them zip-lining at the Buffalo Outdoor Center, but only did this, still rather good.)

My wife got an ear infection too (not from a bug). I had to treat her in Marshall that morning (going to Grinder's Ferry while waiting on her). I had Helen make breakfast for us in my place. We then sent Helen and Adrian to Silver Dollar City on their own in my Scion xD. KSG and we ate at the Mexican place in town and then we went (in my wife's Pontiac Vibe, the kids had my Scion xD) to Archey Fork, eating at Western Sizzlin in Clinton afterwards. I had a good playlist going the entire time.

Upon pulling up, my wife prompted KSG that she wanted some photos of us together since it was our last night. He wasn't in the mood. I understood both sides. I nonetheless managed to get a few myself, without being very intrusive, when he was sitting around on the porch and the kids gathered around him. Basically a snapshot appeared before me, all I needed to do was quickly put the camera on the deck and aim, put it in self-timer mode, and join in, Kevin wouldn't have to do anything except just keep sitting as he was. I did so. Maybe 20 seconds later, the "photo session" was over, with him not having to get up and pose etc. We then just sat and talked for a long time before turning in. He left early the next day.
