The final full day of our vacation, I tried to make it less stressful than other days had been by doing better about planning ahead with an itenary and basically sticking somewhat to it. We headed to the Falling Waterfalls area, with the plans being to possibly check out some of the waterfalls on the path (we didn't, water not high enough despite the rain from the prior day), then to placate Helen wanting to hike we'd check out "Pedestal Peak" which is nearby (we found it on the fly back in 2013 & hadn't been back since), then we'd go to the BBQ place in the area (we did) then close it by going to Illinois Bayou.

The latter I had really liked back in June, this time I seemed to like it less, and it really added to the time on the road heading back to the cabin. Still, I got some nice shots from there, and it was a time I lamented as it was possibly the final spot we'd ever visit in Jasper/Marshall as a family of 4 (certainliy with the children both minors). Hopefully it's not the end of an era.

On the way in I'd noticed an old church I thought I'd maybe want to photograph. I saw it on the way back, and did just that, and my wife was amused by how these nearby horses saw us and started galloping enthusiastically in our direction. Near when you're back on 65 heading towards Marshall in earnest, I noticed a photographer with high-end gear photographing Bear Creek (Spider Creek) on the side of the road, so I did likewise.
