KSG was fishing in Leslie (if I recall) & mentioned a small ripe swing he'd seen at the Red River Cafe. He later called to see if we'd gone in that area, but we had instead gone to the Robertson Hole (Woolum). We were disappointed to see the road to it closed barely 1½ miles short of the destination. A detour was mentioned, but it involved a 4 wheel drive vehicle on rutty roads, which we were hardly equipped to do.

We did do a quick stop at the Railroad Museum we'd seen (also saw in 2021), it didn't appear to be open or all that much but I saved the spot for later reference, as Helen had mentioned maybe wanting to visit a musuem during the trip. We went to Shine Eye, a visit marred by parents who became angry at my photographing the area around them, with them even calling the park ranger, but I stood my ground. I was not at all a nice person, although I felt the situation didn't call for me to be that. Adrian was wanting to stay for awhile, but we left after the hub-bub died down.

We did a quick visit to nearby Tyler Bend, then visited the Bear Creek spot nearby (a Gez Rogers reference), as my wife had wanted to cool down but hadn't had much of a chance to do so. We wound down by me attemmpting to make German Spaghetti and seeing how much KSG liked it, but I'd forgotten the sugar and soy sauce and it was raining hard. I started to venture out and get the supplies, but instead free-lanced making it and in fact they ended up liking it as it was. However, I would regret not going out and getting supplies, as it rained so hard that night that we were briefly trapped at the cabin for awhile the next day.
