Departure day, we were out by around 10 am. We were going to eat at the diner in Marshall again except we wanted to get more of a "move-on" and figured we'd spend too much time there. We ended up instead skipping breakfast for the time being and went to the "Archey Fork" spot we originally were going to check out on day 1 on the way to the cabin (it was another new "Gez Rogers" spot).

My wife especially loved this spot, as did I--it featured a long deep area which somewhat reminded me of the "classic Blue Hole" (Troy Eddings), and it featured both a rope swing and a zip line. Helen didn't much get into it but she was just not in the mood at the time, we figured both she and Adrian will love it come July. It's now a new favorite right up there with Ponca, the "classic" Blue Hole, Robertson, Falling Waterfalls etc. We also found a restaurant on the way and saved it for future reference, since we figure on being at this spot multiple times in the future. (Update: we went there in July during the "normal" trip, as did KSG, and I added it to the list below.)

From there we went to Hardee's and Krisky Kreme in Conway ARK, something I'd meant to do on day 1 but forgot to do. We stopped at Bojangles in Prescott ARK (and fueled up again) and meant to get more BoBerry biscuits, but the line was long so we just left. With that, the "mini trip" was essentially over.
