I snuck off alone went to Lower Pruitt (p80 SH) for a quick dip, got a few photos. We ate cereal & muffins etc in the cabin to keep it quick. After yesterday's road construction nonsense, we instead checked out spots SOUTH to get away from it. We almost ran out of gas but found a spot "on the fly." We went to Hawk's Creek Falls (p154 W), a spot we'd seen mentioned before but never been to. It was OK for photos, not for jumping in (although the kids still enjoyed fooling around in it). This was near the Ft Douglas spot (p36 SH) in the book, which we simply saw in passing. The phone signal in this area was very sketchy for "My Maps" to work well (would've been a good time to have already had "Copilot" installed). Nonetheless, I did already know that Falling Water Waterfalls (p44 SH) was in the area about 30 minutes from it so we went there next. Fun was still had, but the water was kind of low.

We ate at Ozark Cafe (Adrian & the waitress bearing his name were still goofing around, although not as much) & then went to Ponca (p68 SH). Wife wanted to go to Steel Creek afterwards, we did although I was TIRED. She had us take some family shots, but they didn't turn out great (not to worry, we DID get some good ones at Lost Valley/Trail a few days later).
