Enjoying a snack. There was a well-chewed polypore fungus nearby and I think he was eating that. Fungi are much enjoyed by squirrels, especially the red squirrels.

Pretty cute squirrel. It looks like he paused for the photo. Interesting about eating fungi. Makes me wonder if they help spread the spores on the paws and fur. Or maybe by passing through them and their droppings place the spores in promising places. V
