Waved sphinx moth caterpillar (Ceratomia undulosa), #7787

Larose Forest

This poor caterpillar has a huge load of parasitic wasp cocoons which will soon enough kill the poor thing. A small wasp, possibly a Braconid, is seen on the cocoons, but the eggs would have been laid much earlier.

Oh my, that's quite an infestation. Not crazy about these destructive caterpillars, but I still feel sorry for them.
