Bird's nest fungi are intriguing. There are several species locally, but I have not seen this one before. I think it is either a Crucibulum species or a Nidularia species. It was growing among Stinkhorn fungi as well as near another species of Bird's nest fungi on bark mulch in a hydro cut. The white spore packets will turn brown when mature and the spores will eventually disperse, each 'egg' or packet containing innumerable spores.
