Hopeful! Goldenrod crab spiders (Misumena vatia)

Larose Forest

A tiny male crab spider clings precariously to the body of a very large female. Mating for spiders is risky, for the male! These are Goldenrod Crab Spiders, Misumena vatia. The females are often yellow, but can also be white.

C’est fantastique, la différence de taille entre la femelle et le mâle est surprenante.

C’est une magnifique macro.
