Spring is when migratory birds start coming through, the sparrows, the flycatchers, swallows and lastly, warblers in May, but often overlooked are these tiny little kinglets, who flit rapidly through the trees, usually high up. Of the two species, this one tends to come down to eye-level more often than the golden-crowned kinglet. Anyway, their high-pitched calls are heard in very early spring. Birds always bring joy.
