Ottawa River

A wider view of the Ottawa River. There is normally a bank several feet deep on the left side, so the river is never level with the pathway. Across the river in Quebec, many houses along the river are surrounded by deep water. Ditto for houses in Ottawa both east and west in the city. It is a really harsh and difficult time for so many.

A nice, but worrisome documentary shot.

Simply frightening to see and hear about, and I'm so sorry for the people directly impacted by this.

Terrible scenes off high rising waters throughout our area now Christine.
i'm just glad we sold our cottage on the Mississippi some years ago, but I feel for the new owners who are facing worse conditions than we did in 1998, the year of our 100 year flood.

it's worst than 2017 for many places. A little light, the next day's, night will go in the negative
so the melting of snow will slow down and no more rain in the forecast.

Looks pretty bad. Hope peoples' homes haven't been devastated.

This is a terrible spring event. Some people have faced this too often.
