Hover fly (Lapposyrphus)?

Central Experimental Farm

Nectaring on common dandelion. Dandelions bloom mainly in spring, but can grow throughout summer and into autumn. They provide important nectar and pollen for early emerging pollinators including honey bees, and for late season fliers such as these tiny hover flies.
