Cuckoo wasp (Chrysididae)

At home

Found this tiny but brilliantly green wasp on the bee box where leaf-cutter bees were building their nests. They lay eggs in the nests of other bees, just as the European cuckoo lays her eggs in the nests of other birds. Best to view this one in Original.

What a beautiful wasp. The only iridescent bugs I know are the June bugs. This is interesting.
